REGULATIONS OF VILNIUS 100 KM. RUNNING

 GENERAL PART

Vilnius City Municipality, Athletics Federation of Lithuania, Public Institution ‘Sveikas miestas’,  Association ‘Sporto renginiai’ are organising international Vilnius 100 km Run on 19 July 2020.

GOALS AND OBJECTIVES

  1. To promote running and athletics in Lithuania.
  2. To promote mass events in Vilnius.
  3. To promote physical activity among the city residents.
  4. To promote running as a healthy way of living. 
  5. To identify the best runners within different age groups.


 LIABILITY AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE EVENT ORGANISERS

  1. To register the participants of the event, to make and issue bib numbers.
  2. To prepare the route.
  3. To advertise the event and run a public relations campaign in order to promote the Vilnius 100 km Run event and attract as many participants as possible.


TIME, PLACE AND DISTANCES OF THE EVENT

 

  1. Date and venue of the event: 19 July 2020, Vingis Park, Vilnius.
  2. Time and distances:

    2.1 6:00 a.m. – start of 100 km and 50 km running;
    2.2 6:00 a.m.  – start of the 10x10 km relay race;

    2.3 3:00 p.m.  – start of the 2x10 km relay race.

TIME LIMIT 

  1. Time limit for 50 km, 100 km, 10x10km running – 13 hours.


PARTICIPANTS

  1. Runners who have attained the age of 18 years can participate in the 100 km and 50 km running. The participants take part in the event of their free will and without any compulsion, accept all the risks (unexpected health problems, etc.) related to the competition and, by signing the documents, undertake not to have any legal claims to the organisers of the event in this respect. When collecting his/her bib number, the participant must have a personal identification document.
  2. Everyone who wishes can participate in the 10x10 km, 2x10 km relay race. The participants take part in the event of their free will and without any compulsion, accept all the risks (unexpected health problems, etc.) related to the competition and, by signing the documents, undertake not to have any legal claims to the organisers of the event in this respect. When collecting their bib numbers, the runners must have a personal identification document. Relay race participants shall independently make teams, organisers will not be forming teams of individual participants.
  3. Description of the 10x10 km relay race: Start of leg (stage) 1 – 6:00 a.m. A participant shall carry a baton, which must be passed on to the next runner ONLY in the marked exchange zone. The next leg runner shall start by accepting the baton from the first runner, etc. Team members must calculate the start time of the next leg taking into account the capacity of each member. The last (tenth) runner, who finishes the race, shall return the baton to referees. A relay race team member is allowed to start only with one team. Each team member can finish only one leg. Responsibility for minors participating in the event shall rest with parents, guardians or coach. By registering for the event, every participant automatically agrees to the unrestricted use by the organisers of the event of all images or videos made during the event for marketing purposes without an additional permission of the participant.

SPECIAL TERMS AND RESTRICTIONS

  1. Participants can register for any event only in their own name. Transfer of a bib number to another person is strictly forbidden. Otherwise participants will be disqualified and the results will not be included into the official competition results. Every participant of the competition must have a bib number fastened neatly on the T-shirt. The bib number has to be fastened on the front of the T-shirt and be clearly visible. Participants and their supporters are strictly forbidden to use any kind of transport, e.g. bicycles, roller-skates, skate boards and other wheeled vehicles. In the case of a breach the participant will be disqualified.
  2. No animals are permitted on the route during the race. Any deviation from the set course (without permission of the referee) is prohibited. In the case of a breach the participant will be disqualified
  3. Any possible claims must be submitted in writing to the main referee of the competition within 30 minutes of the end of the competition. When submitting the claim, the participant will be required to pay a fee in the amount of EUR 30, which will be refunded if the claim is satisfied by the appeal commission (the director of the marathon, main referee). The claims shall not be considered unless the fee is paid.


SPECIAL STATIONS ON THE ROUTE

  1. Catering stations will be set up along the course of the competition, where participants will be given energetic drinks, water and fruit.


AWARDS

  1. 100 km race awards: 1st to 3rd place winners (men and women) will be awarded cups. Cash prizes (to be paid to the winner’s bank account):

Winners and runners-up of the Lithuanian championship will be awarded medals.

Winners and runners-up in the age groups (F40 – F70 and M40 – M70) will be awarded  commemorative souvenirs.

All the participants who cross the finish line within time limits will receive commemorative medals.

  1. 10x10 km, 2x10 km relay race awards:

1st to 3rd place winner teams will be awarded team cups.

Members of the 1st to 3rd place winner teams will receive sponsor gifts. 

All the participants who cross the finish line within time limits will receive commemorative medals.

 

T-SHIRT

  1. Entrants for the 100 km race will receive a free T-shirt.

Other participants who register for competition events until 1 July will have the opportunity to buy a commemorative T-shirt. The price of a T-shirt is EUR 10. Your T-shirt will be available with a bib number. To buy a T-shirt, choose the 'T-shirt' line in the registration system. The number of T-shirts is limited.

 

STARTING FEE

For the participants of the 100 km race:

  • registered until 15 March 2020 – EUR10;
  • registered from 16 March to 5 July 2020 – EUR 20;
  • registered from 6 July to 18 July 2020 – EUR 25.

For the participants of the 50 km race:

  • registered until 15 March 2020 – EUR 10;
  •  registered from 16 March to 5 July 2020 – 2020 – EUR 20;
  •  registered from 6 July to 18 July 2020 – EUR 25.

 

For participants of the 2x10 km relay race:

  •  registered until 15 March 2020 – EUR 10 (for a team – EUR 20);
  •  registered from 16 March to 5 July 2020 – EUR 15 (for a team – EUR 30);
  •  registered from 6 July to 18 July 2020 – EUR 2015 (for a team – EUR 40 30).


For participants of the 10x10 km relay race:

  •  registered until 15 March 2020 – EUR 10 (for a team – EUR 100);
  •  registered from 16 March to 5 July 2020 – EUR 15 (for a team – EUR 150);
  •  registered from 6 July to 18 July 2020 – EUR 20 15 (for a team – EUR 200 150).


The participant entry fee should be paid to the bank account of the Association ‘Sporto renginiai’: LT55 7300 0101 0353 7642 opened with AB Swedbank or via the Paysera payment system by clicking on the ‘Registration’ link at www.100kmrunning.lt (registration).

If the participant who has registered for the race does not pay the starting fee within seven (7) working days, he/she will be sent a notice of incomplete registration. Payment must be made in the amount of a starting fee valid on the day of payment. Improper payment of the starting fee will not be considered! The starting fee is non-refundable and cannot be transferred to another participant. 

 

PARTICIPANT REGISTRATION AND  ISSUE OF BIB NUMBERS

  1. All participants may register at www.100kmrunning.lt.
  2. Online registration is open until 18 July 2020 12:00 p.m. No registration will be possible on the day of the competition. Further information about the issue of bib numbers on 18 to 19 July will be provided at a later date. A participant shall be included in the starting list of the competition only subject to proper completion of the registration form and payment of the starting fee.


THE ROUTE

  1. 100 km – 50 circles each of 2 km;
  2. 50 km – 25 circles each of 2 km;
  3. 10 km – 5 circles each of 2 km.

Start and finish in front of the Vingis Park's stage.

 

PERSONAL DATA PROCESSING

  1. Public Institution ‘Sveikas miestas’ (legal entity number 302682862, address: S. Nėries g. 45A, LT-06305 Vilnius, e-mail: info@sveikasmiestas.lt) and Association ‘Sporto renginiai’ (legal entity number 301119747, address: Parko g. 2, Juodšiliai, Vilnius District, e-mail: info@sportorenginiai.lt) are data controllers responsible for collecting and processing of the data submitted by persons participating in Vilnius 100 km Run.
  2. Public Institution ‘Sveikas miestas’ is also the manager of the website www.100kmrunning.lt.
  3. Participants will provide data by completing the registration form on the website www.100kmrunning.lt. The following data will be managed in the legitimate interest of the data controller and for the purposes of organising, implementing and participating in Vilnius 100 km Run:

3.1 name, surname, date of birth, as well as registration fee payment details shall be processed for the purpose of processing and administration of the participant’s purchase/registration during the event;

3.2 phone number, e-mail address, date of birth, gender, country, city/town, as well as the results achieved at the event (time, place reached) shall be processed for the purpose of information and event organisation (sending relevant information about the event, results and winner identification, awards preparation, determining of participant categories (by gender, age), etc.);

3.3 participant’s name, surname and e-mail address shall also be processed for direct marketing purposes with a prior consent of the participant.

  1. A participant must submit the details referred to in clauses 3.1 and 3.2 for the purposes of registration and attainment of the goals and objectives of the event.
  2. Data about the participant’s name, surname, age group, gender, achieved results (time, place reached), as well as the city/town and country shall be publicly available on the website www.100kmrunning.lt. In order to ensure transparency of the results, by registering for the event the participant automatically agrees that the data will be made publicly available on the website.
  3. By registering each participant agrees that the organisers of the event may, at their own discretion and without a separate consent, use the images and footage of the event for marketing purposes, for example in social media, on the website, etc.
  4. Participants’ data shall be kept as follows:

7.1  participant’s telephone number, e-mail address – 5 years of the participant’s registration date;

7.2 participant’s name, surname, date of birth, gender, country, city/town, as well as details of the results achieved at the event (time, place reached) shall be kept for statistical/historical purposes and shall not be deleted;

7.3 participant’s name, telephone number, e-mail address to be used for direct marketing purposes – 5 years of the date of such consent.

  1. The participant shall have the right to request that the Public Institution ‘Sveikas miestas’ and Association ‘Sporto renginiai’ provide access to, rectify or erase of the participant’s personal data or restrict data processing.
  2. If the data are processed for direct marketing purposes, the participant has the right to object to such processing at any time. The participant may exercise this right by sending a notice to info@sportorenginiai.lt and info@sveikasmiestas.lt.
  3. The participant has the right to submit a complaint to the State Data Protection Inspectorate regarding the acts/omission by the Public Institution ‘Sveikas miestas’ and Association ‘Sporto renginiai’, which, in the opinion of the participant, constitute a breach of the provisions of legal acts.

Organisers reserve the right to change the rules.
